Live-Versionen, gefilmt in einem alten Amphitheater in Pompeji. Enthalten sind die Songs Echoes (aufgeteilt in zwei Teile), Careful with that axe, Eugene, A saucerful of secrets, One of those days, Set the controls for the heart of the sun, Mademoiselle nobbs (Seamus, aber mit Ricks Hund als Sänger). „Careful“ und „Set the controls“ wurden bei Nacht mit minimaler Beleuchtung aufgenommen, was eine schöne Stimmung erzeugt. Und die Live-Aufnahme von „Saucerful“ muss man einfach gesehen haben, wenn Waters im Sonnenlicht herumspringt und auf den riesigen Gong schlägt.

VOCES8 announces Lyyra: Here there be Mermaids by Mars Smith

Introducing a special release to celebrate International Women’s Day, 2024 – ‚Here there be Mermaids‘ is the first single from the new album by the Mars Smith duo – with Daniela Mars (flute) and Paul Smith (piano). The single features Lyyra, the new US based women’s ensemble created by the VOCES8 Foundation. The track was recorded and filmed at the VOCES8 Centre in London in early 2024.
