Here is William Byrd’s ‘Lullaby, my sweet little baby’, performed by The Gesualdo Six as part of their Live from London concert in August 2020.

“William Byrd’s Lullaby ‘My sweet little baby’ was one of the composer’s most popular works during his lifetime, enjoying a wide circulation in various arrangements. The melody in the highest voice is echoed throughout by the second part, creating an almost sobbing effect.” – from notes by Owain Park © 2020.
