Aart Strootman – guitar Extrapool, Nijmegen (The Netherlands) March 6, 2016 Electric Counterpoint can be played with a guitarist playing against a prerecorded tape, or with a guitar ensemble. In this Extended Version, Dutch guitarplayer Aart Strootman plays all 15 guitar parts, starting with one, he then plays against his previously played part. This again is recorded and he plays yet again against the already played notes. In this way, he gradually builds up his own ensemble. Electric Counterpoint has 3 movements. The recording i used had 45 different, split parts (3 x 15). The transition between those parts is not always smooth. Slight drop outs or hiccups do occur.
