Eine Stimme, die ganze Welten erschuf, ist verstummt: Scott Walker ist im Alter von 76 Jahren gestorben, wie sein Label 4AD am 25. März berichtete. Durch seine Aufnahmen mit The Walker Brothers Mitte der 60er-Jahre wurde Scott Walker, 1943 als Noel Scott Engel geboren, nicht nur ein internationaler Superstar, sondern auch zur Gesangsikone. Als sich die von London aus operierende US-amerikanische Band 1967 auflöste, hatte sie zwei Nummer-Eins-Hits in Großbritannien gehabt (darunter „The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore“) und Scott Walker war mit Anfang 20 bereits des Popstar-Daseins müde.- byte.fm/blog
