In reviews of our new album Luminous Rot, we have been compared to a lot of bands across a variety of genres. The most common have been My Bloody Valentine, Godflesh, Sunn O))), Ministry, and The Sisters of Mercy. Im internationalen Underground sind sie bestens bekannt, mit dem neuen Album „Luminous Rot“ könnte das Duo Nadja aber auch ein größeres Publikum erreichen. Von Jens Uthoff.

Berlin-via-Toronto drone metal duo Nadja have revealed plans for a new LP. Titled Sonnborner, it’s due out September 4 via Broken Spine Productions.

The upcoming release marks the project’s impressive 20th full-length release.

The five-track offering opens with a 30-minute piece dubbed „Sonnborner/Aten,“ which hears bandmates Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff enlisting guest string players Julia Kent, Agathe Max and Simon Goff to add some neo-classical flair to their usual atmospheric doom.
