Wir sind zwar da, aber wir nehmen nicht wirklich daran teil. Diese innere Leere führt zu Einsamkeit. Da wir nie die sind, die wir wirklich sind, sind wir nie wirklich anwesend.

In seinen Texten beschrieb er immer wieder eine Welt, die dem Untergang geweiht war – bis er selbst in ein Ghetto kam.
